Donald Trump and Kamala Harris to Face Off in Debate on September 10

The U.S. television network ABC has announced that both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have agreed to participate in a presidential debate on September 10.

This development follows Trump’s earlier statement on Thursday, where he confirmed his participation after initially declining due to what he described as a conflict of interest related to his ongoing litigation against ABC.

In a statement, ABC News said, “ABC News will host a debate for qualifying presidential candidates on September 10. Vice President Harris and former President Trump have both confirmed their attendance at the ABC debate.”

During a news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump expressed his anticipation for the debate with Vice President Harris, noting that he had also agreed to debate dates with Fox News, ABC, and NBC. He stated, “I think it’s very important to have debates.

We’ve agreed with Fox on a date of September 4, with NBC subject to their agreement on September 10, and with ABC on September 25.”

Trump added that while he is eager to participate, the other side must agree to the terms, casting doubt on whether Harris would follow through. “She hasn’t done an interview. She can’t do an interview. She’s barely competent, and she can’t do an interview. I look forward to the debates because I think we have to set the record straight,” Trump remarked.

Harris has previously stated her willingness to debate Trump on September 10 but has not yet commented today or confirmed whether she would participate in the debates on Fox News or NBC.
