Davido drops fifth studio album '5ive'

Nigerian global icon Davido has officially unveiled his fifth studio album, 5ive—a 17-track sonic journey that represents a milestone in his remarkable career.

Following the massive success of his 2023 Grammy-nominated album Timeless, which birthed international hits like Unavailable featuring Musa Keys, Davido returns with renewed fire and artistic depth. 5ive not only elevates his craft but also reaffirms his place at the forefront of Afrobeats on the world stage.

Executive produced by Davido himself, with creative direction from Alwajud and Tycoone Umarudeen, the album arrives alongside the momentum of three impactful singles: Awuke featuring YG Marley, Funds with ODUMODUBLVCK and Chike, and Be There Still—an energetic, Amapiano-inspired anthem co-produced by Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture.

On 5ive, Davido showcases his musical evolution and his unique ability to bridge cultures through sound. The album blends Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B, pop, and dancehall, offering something for every listener while pushing genre boundaries. The impressive guest list reflects this global ambition, featuring a mix of Nigerian talents and international heavyweights:

  • With You (Omah Lay)

  • Holy Water (Victony & Musa Keys)

  • Funds (ODUMODUBLVCK & Chike)

  • Titanium (Chris Brown)

  • Offa Me (Victoria Monét)

  • Tek (Becky G)

  • R&B (Shenseea & 450)

  • Lover Boy (Tayc & Dadju)

  • Awuke (YG Marley)

In a press release, Davido described the album as a reflection of his personal and artistic journey:

“This one right here shows my growth, my journey, and where I am now in my life and my artistry.”

The tracklist was revealed via Instagram on April 14, 2025, with the caption: “Legacy is not what you leave behind, but what you breathe into the future.” The announcement ignited excitement across social media, with fans celebrating the diverse collaborations and early singles already making waves on major charts.
