Davido claps back at actress Sarah Martins over ‘5IVE Kitchen’ comment
Afrobeats icon Davido has issued a sharp response to Nollywood actress Sarah Martins following her remarks about his latest project, The 5IVE Kitchen.
Martins had triggered online buzz by suggesting that Davido’s wife, Chioma, known for her impressive culinary skills, would have been a more suitable face for the venture. She implied that the project should have been launched in Chioma’s name as a tribute to her cooking prowess.
Davido, however, swiftly addressed the speculation. In the comments section on Instagram, the Feel crooner clarified that The 5IVE Kitchen is not a restaurant, but rather a promotional collaboration with the FoodCourt app in support of his new album, 5ive.
Unhappy with Chioma being drawn into the conversation, Davido also demanded that Sarah Martins remove his wife’s photo from her post. He commented bluntly: “U no get sense. No restaurant was opened, that was a promotional campaign with @foodcourt_app for my album 5️⃣.. now take my wife’s picture off page.”
The online exchange has since ignited mixed reactions, with fans and followers taking sides in the unfolding drama.
