Couple and four family members d!e in Abuja-Lokoja road crash

A prominent civil servant and philanthropist from Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Muhammad Usman Shehu, his wife, Hayiya Fatima Ahmed Usman, alongside four other family members lost their lives in a fatal motor accident.

The accident occurred at Ahoko bridge, along the Abuja-Lokoja highway around 12:34pm on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Late Fatima was also the younger sister of Pharm Baba Yahaya Ahmed, the Executive Chairman Of Toto LGA.

A witness said the couple and the four others left Toto town in an unmarked Honda car to attend a burial of one of their relatives at Kotonkarfe when the accident happened.

He said the car veered off the road and somersaulted into a ditch after a trailer hit the vehicle from behind, adding that all the six occupants d!ed on the spot.
