A Chinese female streamer lost over 140,000 followers at once after the filter she was using glitched and exposed her real face.

A video shows the influencer addressing followers on a livestream.

Momentarily, the filter went off, showing her real face, before it came back on to show the extremely filtered doll-like appearance her fans always believed was her real face.

Followers began unfollowing her instantly.

The incident has sparked a conversation about catfishing.
