Chelsea to Begin Talks with Another Super Eagles Player
Chelsea Football Club is reportedly poised to initiate negotiations with Ademola Lookman, the Super Eagles forward currently playing for Atalanta.
According to Italian sports outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea is prepared to offer up to €60 million to secure Lookman’s services if he becomes available. The club is actively seeking a player who can provide support upfront alongside Nicolas Jackson for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Lookman recently made headlines as the hero of the Europa League final, guiding his team to victory over Bayer Leverkusen with a remarkable hat-trick. This performance ended Leverkusen’s unbeaten streak under the management of Xabi Alonso during the 2023/24 Bundesliga season.
Despite Chelsea’s interest, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich are also reportedly keen on acquiring the Nigerian player.
Chelsea have reportedly finalized deals with three players: Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa, Marc Guiu from Barcelona, and Estêvão Willian from Palmeiras. These signings are part of Chelsea’s strategy to compete for trophies in the upcoming season under manager Enzo Maresca.
