Chelsea Players Who Could Depart in the 2025 January Transfer Window

The 2025 January transfer window promises to be a busy period for Chelsea Football Club, as the board plans to offload several players before the winter window closes.

Some players have voiced their dissatisfaction with the Chelsea management over limited playing opportunities under the head coach. The coach has acknowledged their frustration and understands why some players are considering leaving the club during this transfer period.

Who are the players that could leave Chelsea this January transfer window?

Ben Chilwell:

Chelsea are open to allowing Ben Chilwell to leave the club this month, preferably on a permanent contract in January. Despite Chilwell not playing in more than three months, there is not expected to be a shortage of suitors for the former Leicester City defender.

Carney Chukwuemeka:

The midfielder is one of the players who is yet to break into the club’s first team under Enzo Maresca. Chukwuemeka has featured on five occasions this term, but the 21-year-old has not played in the Premier League for Chelsea this season.

Axel Disasi:

The French defender could leave Chelsea this month as he is prone to mistakes whenever he is selected in a Premier League match. Although Chelsea are understood to be in no rush to let him leave the club because he provides cover for both centre-back and right-back – areas where the Blues have struggled with injuries in recent months.

Christopher Nkunku:

The French forward player is another who could be on his way out of the club due to his lack of enough game time under Enzo Maresca. According to reports, Bayern Munich have opened talks with the player and Chelsea as they are looking at a possible move to the Bundesliga.

Cesare Casadei:

Just like everyone on this list, they have been given a chance in the UEFA Conference League but they can’t seem to find a way into the team list for the Premier League.

Monza and Torino have expressed an interest in taking the 21-year-old midfielder on loan until the end of the season. Chelsea are unlikely to stand in the Italy Under-21 international’s way, so he can get regular first-team minutes to continue his development.
