Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Prepare Divorce Statement After ‘Heart-Stabbing’ Comment

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have reportedly prepared their divorce statement and are ready to release it to fans soon.

Rumors of their split have been circulating for months due to their lack of public appearances together. JLo spent her birthday without Ben, who allegedly bought himself a bachelor pad on her special day. They also avoided each other on their second wedding anniversary, with Ben looking upset in L.A. while Jen was seen smiling and cycling on the opposite side of the country.

Despite attempts to reconcile, sources claim that Ben, 51, and JLo, 55, are moving forward with their divorce. The documents are reportedly finalized but not yet filed. It is also said that the couple has completely cut ties and stopped communicating.

The situation has reportedly added more tension as they work towards a settlement. However, sources indicate that Ben and Jen have a prepared announcement ready to share with fans once an agreement is reached. A source told MailOnline: “They finalized the divorce papers a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to release them.”

“At that time, they will release a joint statement expressing their love for each other and their efforts to make the marriage work, but acknowledging they couldn’t come to a compromise,” according to sources.

It is said that Ben’s new purchase has been a “stab in the heart” for J-Lo. The new home boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, dining and breakfast areas, a den, a media room, and a guest house.

Ben closed the deal on his $20.5 million ‘bachelor pad’ in Pacific Palisades on JLo’s birthday. On the same day, JLo finalized the sale of her four-bedroom New York City penthouse for $23 million. The couple rekindled their romance in 2021, 17 years after ending their first engagement.

Earlier this year, they listed their shared Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million. The pair were last seen together in March and are reportedly living separately, with Jennifer staying in their marital home and Ben living in a $100,000-per-month rental.

Jen threw herself a Bridgerton-themed birthday party last month at her lavish Hamptons home without Ben. Meanwhile, Ben stayed in Los Angeles. J-Lo was reportedly “horrified” to find out Ben had cleared out his belongings from their shared home.

According to TMZ, Ben and JLo are no longer speaking in person or over the phone. Instead of involving lawyers, they have been communicating through their respective business managers but plan to hire divorce lawyers once they reach a settlement.
