Bandits abduct Ondo transporter; kill son and shoot wife

A popular transporter, Muihili Adebayo, has been abducted by armed bandits in Ondo State, with the assailants killing his son and injuring his wife during the attack at their residence in the Shagari area of Owo Local Government Area on Wednesday, April 2.

Adebayo, who operates the Akure-Lagos route, was reportedly ambushed and taken away by the gunmen while his wife was shot by the assailants when she resisted. She was rushed to the hospital where she has been in coma since then.

“She is currently recovering in a private hospital, but the boy d!ed on the spot. The mother sustained a bullet wound to her hand but managed to escape” a family source said

The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.
