Atalanta receive transfer day deadline bid for Ademola Lookman

Atalanta are facing late transfer drama as reports suggest that Bayern Munich have submitted a deadline-day bid for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman.

The German giants are pushing to land the 27-year-old attacker on an initial loan deal, which would include a substantial loan fee and a future option to buy for a significant price tag.

Lookman has been one of Atalanta’s most influential players in recent seasons, shining in both Serie A and European competitions. His explosive pace, sharp dribbling skills, and knack for scoring decisive goals have made him a constant threat in attack. These qualities have now put him firmly on the radar of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Bayern emerging as the frontrunner to secure his signature.

The Nigerian international is said to be eager to take on a new challenge at the highest level, and Bayern’s offer could provide exactly that. The Bundesliga champions are keen on strengthening their forward line, adding more depth and creativity to complement big names like Harry Kane and Michael Olise.

The proposed structure of the deal—loan with a hefty fee plus an option to buy—appears to suit both parties. For Bayern, it provides the flexibility to test how Lookman fits into Vincent Kompany’s system, while Atalanta would be guaranteed a strong financial package if the move eventually becomes permanent.

With other European clubs also keeping tabs on the situation, Bayern are expected to move quickly in the coming days to finalize the transfer. The outcome of these negotiations could shape not only Atalanta’s attacking setup this season but also Bayern’s ambition to dominate both domestically and in Europe.
