Lagos is gearing up for a vibrant celebration this holiday season as Afrobeats sensation Asake takes center stage at Flytime Fest 2025, set to light up the Eko Convention Center in Victoria Island on Wednesday, December 24.

The announcement, confirmed through the festival’s official promotional materials, positions Asake as one of the biggest attractions of Nigeria’s highly anticipated “Detty December” festivities—a period famous for its high-energy concerts, parties, and cultural events.

The performance forms a major part of Asake’s “Mr. Money African Tour,” which includes scheduled stops in Nairobi, Kenya, and Côte d’Ivoire. Following a remarkable year filled with sold-out international shows and chart-topping releases, the Lagos concert marks a special homecoming for the artist who has become one of Afrobeats’ most dynamic forces.

Fans attending the Christmas Eve show can expect a high-octane experience, featuring Asake’s trademark fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji, and Amapiano rhythms, all delivered with his signature stage charisma. The night will likely feature performances of fan-favorite hits like Lonely at the Top, Amapiano, Terminator, and Joha, alongside newer anthems that have defined his rapidly growing global presence.

Flytime Fest 2025, which runs from December 21 to 25, continues its legacy as one of Nigeria’s premier music festivals, known for bringing together the continent’s biggest stars under one roof. With Asake headlining on Christmas Eve, the event is already being hailed as one of the standout highlights of the festive calendar, promising an unforgettable blend of music, energy, and Lagos nightlife magic.

For many fans, Asake’s return to the Lagos stage symbolizes a full-circle moment—celebrating his meteoric rise from breakout artist to international superstar, and reinforcing why he remains one of the most electrifying performers in modern Afrobeats.
