Arsenal are reportedly reconsidering their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with growing interest now shifting toward Nigerian international Ademola Lookman as a more financially viable option.

According to fresh reports, the Gunners are exploring the possibility of signing Lookman from Serie A club Atalanta, as they weigh alternatives to Eze, whose valuation is believed to be between £60 million and £70 million.

While Eze has remained a long-standing target for manager Mikel Arteta due to his flair and creativity, the high price tag has become a stumbling block in negotiations.

In contrast, Lookman is seen as a more budget-friendly but equally impactful option. The 26-year-old forward is reportedly open to a move away from Atalanta following a successful 2024/25 season, where he impressed both in Italy’s top flight and on the European stage.

His performances were instrumental in Atalanta’s trophy-winning campaign, earning him attention from several top Premier League clubs.

Known for his versatility, speed, and direct attacking threat, Lookman’s ability to play across multiple forward positions adds to his appeal. Although Arsenal have yet to make a formal bid, their growing interest signals a possible shift in transfer strategy as they aim to strengthen their squad for the 2025/26 Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
