All countries that have qualified for the 2026 World Cup
With the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup intensifying, at least 17 countries have officially booked their tickets to football’s most prestigious tournament, which will be jointly hosted across three nations — the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Africa’s representation will once again be led by Morocco, who made history as the first African nation to qualify for the 2026 edition. The Atlas Lions sealed their spot in emphatic fashion after thrashing Niger Republic 5–0 on Friday. Having dominated Group E with maximum points from six matches, Morocco confirmed their qualification with two games remaining. Following their historic semi-final finish at Qatar 2022, the North Africans will aim to replicate — or even surpass — that remarkable achievement on the global stage.
In South America, qualification has been just as competitive and dramatic. Uruguay, Colombia, and Paraguay became the latest nations to punch their tickets after Thursday’s penultimate round of fixtures in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. They now join continental giants Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador, who had already guaranteed their participation in next summer’s spectacle.
Meanwhile, the three host nations — the United States, Mexico, and Canada — automatically secured their places as co-organizers of the expanded 48-team tournament.
In the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) zone, the list of confirmed participants continues to grow. Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, and New Zealand have all clinched qualification following strong performances in their respective groups, ensuring that Asia will once again be strongly represented.
As the qualification campaign draws closer to its conclusion, anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues to build. With more nations still battling for the remaining slots, fans across the globe are eagerly awaiting what promises to be a tournament filled with talent, passion, and unforgettable moments across North America’s stadiums.
