AFCON 2025Q: Gernot Rohr unveils Squad for Benin Republic vs Nigeria clash
The Cheetahs of Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr has unveiled a 24-man list for his side’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Nigeria and Libya.
Rohr is using majority of the regular players he has used in the past qualifiers for next week’s games.
Goalkeeper Saturnin Allagbe, Olivier Verdon, and Junior Olaitan are some of the players named in the squad by the German tactician.
Other top stars called up by the former Gabon coach are; captain Steve Mounie, Jodel Dossou and Aiyegun Tosin.
The Cheetahs will host the Super Eagles at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday, November 14.
The Benin team will round up their qualifying campaign with an away fixture against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya four days later.
The West Africans currently occupy second position on the Group D table with six points from four games.
