A distressing incident occurred for “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland when her Los Angeles home was burglarized last Saturday evening while she was away.

According to law enforcement sources, the break-in took place around sunset, with the suspects gaining entry by smashing a glass window.

Fortunately, Sarah was not home during the burglary; however, she was alerted to the situation in real time through her home security system.

Reports indicate that she received a notification from her security system and, upon checking the live video feed on her phone, witnessed two masked men exiting her residence.

The police were quickly notified and arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough search of the property, ensuring that no intruders remained inside. By the time officers reached the location, the burglars had already escaped, leaving the house empty.

At this point, it is still uncertain whether any items were stolen during the break-in. Hyland is expected to perform an inventory check when she returns home to assess if anything is missing. The investigation is currently ongoing, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
