Access Holding CEO Herbert Wigwe – his wife – and four others tragically perish in a helicopter crash  – Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, and his wife, Chizoba, tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on Friday night, February 9, while en route to Las Vegas.

The chopper crashed near Boulder City, situated between Nevada and California, during the ill-fated journey that originated from Palm Springs Airport around 8:45 pm.

Reports from the San Bernardino Sherriff’s department indicate that the crash occurred around 10 pm. The couple’s son and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the Group Chairman of the Nigerian Export Group, were also reported to be on board.

Herbert Wigwe, who was 57 years old, leaves behind a legacy in the banking sector as a prominent executive. Our thoughts go out to the families affected by this tragic incident. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
