Samsung Galaxy Ring Price Leak: Not Encouraging – Ahead of its anticipated launch at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked in July, the Samsung Galaxy Ring has been the subject of extensive rumors and leaks.
The latest information unveils the probable price range, coupled with speculations about a potential subscription plan necessary for accessing all health-tracking features on the device.
According to reports from Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy Ring is expected to be priced between $300 and $350 in the U.S., equivalent to approximately 35,000 rupees in India.
While global pricing details remain undisclosed, interested consumers can estimate potential costs in other markets by referencing current exchange rates.

Initial speculation surrounding the Galaxy Ring suggested it would serve as a more budget-friendly option compared to the dominant Oura Ring in the smart ring market.
However, with the anticipated price range of $300 to $350, the Galaxy Ring aligns closely with the $299 starting price of the Oura Ring, albeit significantly less than the $549 Rose Gold Horizon version.
It also surpasses the pricing of alternatives such as the $269 Evie Ring and the $279 RingConn Smart Ring, which may remain attractive options for budget-conscious consumers.

Regrettably, the expected price point falls higher than anticipated by many. If accurate, the Samsung Galaxy Ring’s cost nearly matches that of a fully featured smartwatch like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, priced at $399.
Additionally, there are indications that Samsung may introduce a subscription plan akin to the Oura Ring’s model, which charges $70 annually (or $6 monthly) for access to its comprehensive feature set.
While the price of the Samsung Galaxy Ring remains unconfirmed, the possibility of a subscription model shouldn’t come as a surprise.
In an interview with CNBC, Hon Pak, Samsung’s vice president and head of the Digital Health Team, hinted at the potential for a subscription plan for the Samsung Health app, suggesting it’s under consideration by the company. Additionally, Yogesh Brar informed Android Authority that the speculated subscription fee could be “under $10” per month.
The Samsung Health app serves as the primary platform for interacting with devices like the Galaxy Watch, providing access to health and fitness tracking data, customizable watch faces, and various settings. Up to now, Samsung hasn’t imposed any subscription fees for utilizing its features.
However, there’s speculation that Samsung may introduce a subscription model, possibly gating certain parts of the Samsung Health app behind a paywall for users of both the Galaxy Ring and the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7.
This subscription could offer enhanced features, including AI-driven insights into health data and personalized coaching.
Given the potential revenue from wearable subscriptions for health tracking, it wouldn’t be surprising if Samsung chose to explore this avenue, potentially bundling the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch 7 together in a single subscription plan to make it more appealing to consumers.
