Legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba breaks silence on disappearance rumors

Iconic Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has finally spoken out about the swirling rumors regarding his alleged disappearance and supposed kidnapping.

This comes weeks after his mother publicly voiced concerns over his whereabouts, even going as far as filing a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS).

During the height of speculation, 2Baba was seen multiple times in public alongside his rumored lover, Natasha Osawaru. His continued silence only intensified the mystery—until now.

While performing at a recent comedy show hosted by comedian Acapella, the African Queen crooner playfully addressed the controversy with his signature humor:

“Allegedly, I’ve been missing. Allegedly, I’ve been kidnapped,” he joked.
“So, this show is actually to raise money for the kidnappers to release me,” he added, prompting laughter from the audience.

It marked the first time 2Baba publicly acknowledged the rumors, albeit in a light-hearted manner.

Meanwhile, Natasha Osawaru has also responded to the allegations, firmly denying any claims of detaining the singer. She clarified that 2Baba was with her willingly and dismissed bizarre rumors about spiritual manipulation—especially those linked to a beaded bracelet he was seen wearing.

Though his remarks were humorous, neither 2Baba nor his family has issued an official statement clarifying the initial concerns about his whereabouts or his relationship with Natasha. Fans remain a mix of amused and concerned, eagerly waiting for more clarity on the situation.
