200-level Babcock University student reportedly commits su!cide in Ogun

A 200-level student of Babcock University, identified as Olaoluwa Subomi Lawson, has reportedly taken his life at his father’s residence in Redemption Camp City, Ogun State.

Security sources told analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama that the incident was formally reported on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 by a relative, who reside in Festac Town, Lagos.

The sources disclosed that the family received distressing information from the deceased’s mother, Olufunke Lawson, who resides in the United Kingdom.

She informed the family that her son had taken his life by hanging himself inside his room.

Olaoluwa was a student at Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo.

The motive behind the tragic incident remains unknown, and the matter is currently under investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his d3ath.
